The south: second stop Nishi Akashi

After taking a couple of trains we arrived to our destination: Nishi Akashi.

It is a small city close to Kobe. There lives the family of the wife of one of our colleagues. They have a house in the garden and at that time was free. We use the opportunity of having a friendly place where to stay for a couple of days while we saw how things were developing and decided what to do. We could enjoy their company, internet and some nice dinners (they have a very good fish in this area). Usually in this region (Kansai) is not very cold, but at that time it was raining and snowing to make it all more complicated. Here in the photo, the garden of our hosts (the photos have been made, the only sunny and not so cold day).

When we arrived we took showers and slept like logs, we needed it! Then two days of relax, but after these, our trip companion left us and came back to Tsukuba. Michael and me, we decided to continue our trip to the south, since we were already in the other corner of the country, we could also do a bit of tourism! We also decided to bye a fly ticket just in case: If the things were going worst we fly yo Europe, if not, we shift the fly for summer and stay in Japan. But NOWAY... when i was filling our personal data for booking the tickets i realized that i had forgotten my credit card at home, oh!! Second attempt, i had another credit card with me which was also valid, but i had not enough money in that account. We made a money transfer from another one, but the money only moves after several hours or even days... So we understood that we were destined to stay in Japan and we better booked a hostel in Hiroshima and started to prepare our things for going.

And we left our shelter...

As farewell, we went with our friends to taste the famous takoyaki (たこ焼き), some kind of dumplings filled with octopus typical from Kansai area. Around Kobe, they have a variant a bit softer and i can assure you that they were delicious.
